Engaged!

So, I asked Cat to marry me on Monday.....and.......she said YES!

So, we had a little party that night, played some Wii and everyone was really excited for us. 

We've locked down a date for the wedding. It's going to be Oct 3rd, 2009.  We are going to have a Hawaiian wedding and are looking at Avon NC to have it.  Flip-Flops or bare feet are required. I'm wearing cargo shorts with a Hawaiian Wedding Shirt and that is about all of the details I have at this moment.

So, we are both really, really excited about this. Cat's family and our friends have been nothing short than amazing.  Did I mentioned that we are really, really excited?

Other news.....starting working at Trader Joe's in Williamsburg....I can't even explain how excited I am about working with everyone again.

Cat and I are going to start planning everything, and are looking to build a website for our friends and family to receive updates and places that we are registered at.  We are going to load pictures and...well....we are still a little over 12 months away from the date...so there will be plenty of updates.

It's 1am...so, I'm calling it a night and taking Cat to bed.....I miss having her her with me every night.

New Tattoo.......

So, I finally went to get my shoulder to shoulder tattoo.  It started out with a smaller one, and wanted something to cover my entire back from shoulder to shoulder.  I'm going to get the entire thing filled in on Sept 16th and then am working on a paw print for Cat.  I'm going to start working on some shoulder pads that run down the middle of my arm and around my chest.  Going to go with a polynesian theme because I love the meaning behind some of the markings.

The Paw, is going to look great....and it has no other meaning other than that I'm with Cat for the rest of my life.  So, I'm going to work up something that has how I feel and looks well with the rest of what is on my back....plus, or course the paw...because she is cat.

The outline took forever, at times I wanted to jump up and call it over...but, it was worth it. Dana did an outstanding job.....Cat is going to do a smaller version of my Hammer Head shark on her.....it'll look cute.

Well, that's about it.  Trader Joe's is opening soon....so excited to be back there!!!!!!!! I should have never left!!!

Dark Knight Joker

Here is the first custom shirt I've completed this 2008 season.  Most of the entire year while working at the park I've been drawing caricatures...but needed to step away from that to get back and focused.  I still love drawing caricatures don't get me wrong....but airbrush is different in that you use so many of your talents in one thing.  Have no idea if that even made any sense.

I was in a airbrush webcam meeting with other parks this Wed and everyone kept talking about who the Joker was "HOT" in that is was selling.  So, I figured I'd give a stab at it and see if I could sell one.  Started with the pencils first and came in the next morning and busted it out.  

While doing the pencils I sold one for 120.00 and the next day....I was finishing this one that I was going to use as a demo and sold it to the kids below for 120.00 also.

The pictures never do it any justice in what it looks like in person.

I'm happy with it being that it was my first custom of the year.  But would change a lot with the next order that I have to complete for the people that first bought one.  I'll start on it Wed and see what I can do to tighten it up here and there.

Below there are the proud owners of the demo I was doing.  The kid begged and begged his parents for it and in the end when I was placing "Why So Serious?" on the back with the bloody hand print...his dad handed over the American Express and bought it.

I'll have to post pictures of the order waiting that I have to complete this coming week.  Knowing that I'll have to do another one after that as well.

Hey.....it's "HOT" LOL!

New Stuff

I went to Avon NC a couple of weeks ago.  Found out just how much I missed the beach and the way it made me feel.  Almost felt like it was an awakening that I forgot just how good it felt to be in the water and how it felt on my skin.

Went there with Cat and her family.  I love each one of them to death and would drop and do anything for them.

This is Cat.....my soulmate.....she will always be the better half of me.  Love this picture...yes...it's not cold...she just hates getting pictures taken of her.  Still I love this picture of her.

This picture is great.  Both of us together.  Even though she hates it...I love it because it was taken with just us in mind.  Cat wanted to take a couple of pictures outside our room....this picture just reminds me just how happy she makes me...and how special I am to have her with me.

All in all, I loved the time in NC with her and her family.  It's just too bad I had to come back to the grind of work. 

Grabbed some stuff for Nicole, Conner-man and Dave while there.  Great people, and they are special in that it's friends without conditions which I'm the first to say it rather new to me.
